Our Story
The word GYAAN is a Sanskrit word that means “knowledge”.
Knowledge is a familiarity, awareness, or understanding of someone or something, such as facts, information, descriptions, or skills, acquired through experience or education by perceiving, discovering, or learning. CITTA Foundation is a registered nonprofit in India. All donations are tax-exempt under the 80G and 12AA. Through local leadership and commitment, The CITTA Foundation, India will launch its first project, the GYAAN Center for Women in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. The project includes a school, a women’s cooperative, and a market and exhibition Hall. The center will provide economic development, education, and skills training for girls and women residing in the Jaisalmer District and a unique outlet to enhance gender parity in the region.
